DiamondBack, A Legacy of Snake, Rattle and Roll

DiamondBack is a five-piece rock band that never fails to entertain anywhere they go. Their talented song writing and performances have awarded them recognition with radio airplay, television appearances, sponsorship from Jose Cuervo Tequila and endorsements from Hamer Guitars and Dean Markly guitar strings.

Nationally, DiamondBack continues to perform at motorcycle rallies in Daytona Beach (FL), Laconia, (NH), Sturgis, (SD), the Harley Rendezvous (NY), and the Steel Pony Express in New Orleans (LA).  The title track, "Legacy", was featured in the Action Pay Per View special, "One Wild Ride" with video footage from one of their many live performances at Laconia’s Bike Week Rally. The special aired nationwide in April 1999.

DiamondBack has also performed live during ESPN’s syndicated radio program, Bruno and Golick Morning Show, which broadcasts to 650 affiliates nationwide. In addition, another DiamondBack original, "Leavin’ ‘em Screamin" was featured on ESPN’s sports highlight program "Maxed Out".

In 2000, Connecticut’s own virtuoso and 6 time Hartford Advocate Best Guitarist Award winner Jimi Bell joined DiamondBack.  His guitar ability is only surpassed by his energy on stage.  Formally with Joined Forces in the 1980's, Jimi has played and toured with many in the music industry.  After an appearance in the Michael J. Fox/Joan Jett film, "Light of Day", Jimi with "Joined Forces" toured with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts.  Jimi was second to Zak Wylde out of 500 guitarists for the auditions to replace the late, great Randy Rhodes of Ozzy Osbourne.  He recently toured Europe with Metal Church.  He also has toured with Geezer Butler from Black Sabbath.

Over the years, DiamondBack has performed with various national artists including Steppenwolf, 38 Special, Styx, and Allman Brothers Band/Government Mule guitarist Warren Haynes. Other notable performances include the National Association of Musical Merchandisers Convention, ("NAMM") - Nashville, TN and Aerosmith’s "Mama Kin" Music Hall - Boston, MA.

DiamondBack covers material from artists as Aerosmith, AC/DC, Black Crowes, Guns ‘n Roses, Motley Crue, Van Halen, and Ozzy Osbourne for club sets. The band is also known for their award winning original music featured on their self produced CD’s "DiamondBack" and "Legacy" which currently receives air play on Connecticut’s #1 rock station, WCCC-FM.
